Overview
Medicine, or more precisely Internal Medicine, pertains to the subspecialties related to the major internal organs. Academic Medicine Services is a corporation that employs approximately 140 physicians who are associated with the medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition to their private medical practices, these physicians have the added responsibility to educate medical students and residents at the major teaching hospitals here in Buffalo. These same physicians expand on this academic mission by devoting time to major research projects funded by private and public grants, and publish their findings in medical journals throughout the world.
